This full-day excursion takes travelers on a journey through time to explore the foundations of ancient Egyptian history. Located just a short drive from central Cairo, these three iconic archaeological sites trace the evolution of pyramid building and Egyptian statehood from its very inception to its golden age.
In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to begin the trip to the Giza Pyramids:
The Pyramids of Giza: The Pyramids of Giza are among the most famous monuments in the world. They include the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the Sphinx. Built in ancient Egypt as tombs for the pharaohs, they represent the greatness of Egyptian civilization.
Memphis: Memphis was the first capital of ancient Egypt. Located near Giza, it was an important political and religious center. Today, it houses statues and archaeological ruins, including the famous statue of Ramesses II.
Saqqara: Saqqara is one of Egypt’s oldest necropolises. It is famous for the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramid in history. Kings and nobles were buried here, showcasing the evolution of Egyptian funerary architecture.
After the tour, lunch will be served at a local restaurant. At the end of the trip, our guide will escort you back to your hotel in Cairo.

Absolutely. Our tours are designed with flexibility in mind, so you can adjust travel dates, upgrade your cabin, or even extend your stay before or after the cruise. Small adjustments, like changing optional tours or meal plans, are also possible, though availability and price differences may apply. The earlier you request changes, the smoother the process will be.
Yes, and this is one of the best parts of the journey. Alongside the classic visits to Luxor, Aswan, and the temples along the Nile, you can add optional excursions like a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, a visit to the Nubian villages in Aswan, or even a day trip to Abu Simbel. These experiences bring extra magic to your itinerary and can be arranged in advance or sometimes even on board.
The most popular seasons are fall (September to November) and spring (March to May), when the weather is pleasantly warm, making sightseeing comfortable. Winter (December to February) is also a favorite, with cooler evenings and fewer crowds, perfect for those who enjoy mild temperatures. Summer (June to August) can be very hot, but if you enjoy fewer tourists and great deals, it might be the right time for you.
Most Nile Cruises operate on a full-board basis, meaning your accommodation, daily sightseeing, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included. Drinks, optional excursions, tips, and personal expenses are usually not part of the package. Some luxury cruises do offer all-inclusive plans with beverages and special services, so it’s worth checking the details of your specific ship.
Pack light, breathable clothing for the daytime and a light jacket or shawl for cooler evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for temple visits, along with a sunhat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect you from the Egyptian sun. Don’t forget a swimsuit if you plan to relax by the pool on board, and a smart casual outfit for evening dinners. A small backpack is also useful for carrying water, cameras, and personal items during excursions.
