Itinerary
Day 1: Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International airport. Meet and assist through arrival formalities and transfer to your hotel. Check in, dinner on your own and overnight in Cairo at your hotel.
Day 2: Cairo
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Visit the Church of the Virgin Mary in “Haret Zuweila” (which was most probably built around the AD 10th century). Transfer to Old Cairo to visit Synagogue of Ben Ezra, the Hanging Church, where the Virgin Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus took refuge.
- Visit the Church of St. Sergio’s and the Coptic Museum.
- Lunch on your own (recommended by your guide).
- PM: visit the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, housing the magnificent treasures of Tut Ankh Amon (Mummies room is not included and is subject to extra ticket to be bought on the spot).
- Back to your hotel, dinner on your own and Overnight at your hotel in Cairo (B).
Day 3: Cairo
- Breakfast at your hotel. This morning, you will be transferred to Maadi district to visit, the Church that the holy family has passed through “Saint Mary church”.
- Drive to the Giza Plateau to visit the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Kephren.
- Lunch on your own (recommended by your guide).
- Back to your hotel, dinner on your own and overnight at your hotel in Cairo (B).
Day 4: Fayoum Oasis
- Early breakfast at your hotel.
- Departure to fayoum Oasis and explore ‘en route’ the collapsed pyramid of Meidum that was built by the 4th Dynasty.
- Continue to Fayoum Oasis to visit the Monastery of the Archangel Gabriel; that goes back to the 5th century, when the grandson of the king had a vision of Virgin Mary and the two archangels Gabriel and Michael at this place.
- Lunch on your own (recommended by your guide).
- Visit Lake Qaroun that covers an area of 200 Km2 and is ideal for fishing, duck shooting, rowing and swimming, during your visit to fayoum, you will see also the Water-wheels as part of the ancient irrigation system.
- Return to Cairo, dinner on your own and Overnight at your hotel (B).
Day 5: Wadi El Natroun / Alexandria
- Another early breakfast at your hotel in Cairo.
- Today we will lead the traces of Jesus and his family to the famous monasteries of Wadi Natroun, and the most famous Monastery ‘Anba Bishoy’ Monastery (This monastery became a major project for his Holiness Pope Shenouda the Third).
- Lunch on your own (recommended by your guide).
- After lunch continue the way to through the desert road to the second largest city in Egypt, Alexandria, the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC.
- Arrival to Alexandria and check into your hotel.
- Dinner on your own and overnight at your hotel in Alexandria (B).
Day 6: Alexandria / Cairo
- Breakfast at your hotel in Alexandria.
- AM: You will visit the Greco-Roman Museum, the Amphitheater and the Pompey Pillar.
- Visit Saint Mark’s Cathedral (the historical seat of the Pope of Alexandria, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church since 60 AD).
- Lunch at first class Egyptian restaurant at Alexandria, then drive back to Cairo for your last night in Egypt.
- Arrival Cairo and check into your hotel.
- Dinner on your own, and overnight at your hotel in Cairo (B, L).
Day 7: Final Departure
- Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo.
- Check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport. Assistance through airport departure formalities and board your flight for final departure from Egypt.

* Cairo: Five nights on Bed and Breakfast basis at 5* standard Hotels in Cairo, divided to 4 nights first stay and another 1 night for your second stay after coming back from Alexandria.
