Here, you will find significant religious landmarks such as the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga), built over the cave where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed; the Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqah), famous for being built atop the ancient Roman Fortress of Babylon; and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish places of worship in Cairo. Islamic Cairo
Islamic Cairo is one of the most fascinating historic districts in the Egyptian capital.
