Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan in a private, air-conditioned vehicle and accompany you on a full-day excursion to visit the magnificent Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu before returning to Aswan.
Kom Ombo Temple
Located on the banks of the Nile in Upper Egypt, the Temple of Kom Ombo is one of the most unique temples of the Ptolemaic period. Its distinctive double design was dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The temple features two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two symmetrical sanctuaries. Its beautifully carved walls are adorned with remarkable reliefs depicting religious ceremonies and ancient medical instruments, reflecting the advanced scientific knowledge of the ancient Egyptians.
Edfu Temple
Continue to the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt and dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. Built during the Ptolemaic period, the temple is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. It is famous for its massive entrance pylon, spacious open courtyard, and impressive hieroglyphic inscriptions that narrate the legendary battle between Horus and Seth. Its exceptional state of preservation allows visitors to experience the grandeur and magnificence of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant during the tour. After completing your visits, you will be driven back to Aswan and transferred to your hotel.
