Our representative will pick you up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan in a private, air-conditioned vehicle and escort you on a comfortable journey through the desert to one of Egypt’s most magnificent archaeological treasures.
Abu Simbel Temples
Upon arrival, you will visit the breathtaking Abu Simbel Temples, built by the great Pharaoh Ramesses II and dedicated to himself and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. These extraordinary rock-cut temples were rediscovered in 1813 after being buried beneath the desert sands for centuries. In the 1960s, they were carefully relocated by the Egyptian Government in cooperation with UNESCO to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
The Great Temple of Ramesses II is renowned for its four colossal statues that dominate the entrance, while its interior walls are decorated with remarkable reliefs depicting the king’s military victories, including the famous Battle of Kadesh.
A short walk away stands the Temple of Queen Nefertari, one of the few ancient Egyptian temples dedicated to a queen. Its elegant façade and beautifully preserved carvings reflect the deep admiration Ramesses II had for his favorite wife. After your guided visit, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Aswan in comfort
After enjoying your visit and capturing unforgettable photos, you will return to Aswan in comfort, where you will be transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise.
